SLOTH 14: MY ONE & ONLY

SLOTH 14: MY ONE & ONLY at The Parkside Lounge

Feb 6 2026

Doors at 6pm / Stories at 7pm

Tickets $12

Sharers and listeners are all welcome! No story is required to come and enjoy the scene. To sustain our work, there is a $12 entry fee, but we turn no one away for a lack of funds.

On the fence about telling a story? We're here to help you develop it for primetime! Reach out to one of our gracious and beautiful hosts to brainstorm and refine. We'd love to get a glimpse of your inner worlds.

What’s the story theme?

This one is for the singularity, Slothettes. Tonight is for the stories about devotion, curiosity, regret, and restraint. Tell us about the one who got away, the one-night stand, the time you tried something new and said never again, the vice you swore was your true love, or the person who claimed the title. This isn’t about purity or permanence; it’s about those protracted moments and what happens when we decide something, or someone, is our ONE AND ONLY.

What are SLOTH events?

The SLOTH is our queer gathering for friends to share stories inspired by our selected themes. Come to listen or come to tell. We welcome authentic and true(ish) tales, comedy, poetry, music, and any creative form you can put into a compelling 5-minute share. Follow us @sloth.nyc

NEUROMANCE:

Dance Party

10pm

Free

It’s now 2026. Ch*tG*T has poisoned our water, our art, and our instagram reels. Your AI boyfriend forgot to plan something for Valentine’s day. And nobody can use the em-dash ever, ever again. But not in the world we’re living in… On Friday, February 6, come fight tech with techno on the frontlines of the Lower East Side, and find love while doing it. From the aqueous futurism of Drexciya to the brazen electroclash of groups like ADULT. and Chicks on Speed, NEUROMANCE is a new party celebrating techno as a vehicle for the human opalescence that makes the best art shimmer. Bring your date(s), bring your friend(s), or find your own here. No cover. Happy Valentine’s Day.

Readings at Parkside: Gabrielle Hamilton

READINGS AT PARKSIDE: GABRIELLE HAMILTON

SUNDAY FEB 8th

doors 3:30 reading 4pm

sliding scale $5-25

* If funds are an issue please reach out to tenteditions@gmail.com

Readings at Parkside is honored to kick off our fourth year by welcoming Gabrielle Hamilton to The Parkside Lounge — celebrating her new memoir NEXT OF KIN from Random House!

Gabrielle Hamilton is the chef/owner of Prune restaurant in New York’s East Village and the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir Blood, Bones & Butter: The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef. She received an MFA in fiction writing from the University of Michigan, and her work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, GQ, Bon Appétit, Saveur, House Beautiful, and Food & Wine. She has also authored the 8-week Chef column in The New York Times, and her work has been anthologized in eight volumes of Best Food Writing. She has appeared on The Martha Stewart Show and the Food Network, among other TV and she has won a James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef NYC. She currently lives in Manhattan with her two sons.

Hamilton’s gift for pungent dialogue, propulsive storytelling, intense honesty, and raucous humor made her first book a classic of modern memoir. In Next of Kin, she offers a keen and compassionate portrait of the people she grew up with and the prevailing but soon-to-falter ethos of the era that produced them. A personal account of one family’s disintegration, Next of Kin is also a universal story of the emotional clarity that comes from scrutinizing our family mythologies and seeing through to the other side.

Maggie and Lexi’s Sexy Story Contest

7pm Thursday February 12th

You decide who wins! Get into the Valentines Day spirit and witness a talented group of writers as they share their erotic, albeit hastily-written, tales. An hour before the start of the show, the writers assemble with 60 minutes on the clock to craft their own completely original sexy stories. Once the stories are read aloud, you'll vote for your favorite. Some may make you laugh, others may scandalize you, but all will heat you by the fire of passion. In the end, there can only be one winner.

The Wizard of Oz Pantomime

The Wizard of Oz Pantomime

SATURDAY DECEMBER 20th

doors 3:30/ show 4pm

TICKETS

Dorothy’s tornado has never looked this fabulous. In this outrageously queer, adults-only British-style Panto, R & R Productions reimagine the Land of Oz with a drag queen Glinda, a gloriously camp Wicked Witch, and a Wizard who feels suspiciously like a tech-bro billionaire with more ego than magic. Flying labubus, savage satire, and brand-new original music collide in a dazzling send-up of The Wizard of Oz, Wicked, and The Wiz that’s as raunchy as it is riotous. Bold and bawdy, the pantomime, or Panto , has been a holiday tradition in Great Britain since 1717. While Pantos are traditionally considered family-friendly entertainment, The Wizard of Oz is strictly for grown-ups. In these times, the fiercest protest might just be a belly laugh, a little glitter, and a trip over the rainbow.
