Wet Spot Presents: What's the Tea

Wet Spot Presents What's the Tea from Unhinged Rose Productions at The Parkside Lounge

May 3 2026

Doors at 7pm/ Show at 7:30pm

Advance $17 / Door $25

“What’s the Tea” is edu-tainment at its silliest… and also probably it’s sexiest too. Blending burlesque, drag, live vocals and the diligent research of two type-A, gifted kid burnouts, this show will take you on a journey through the history of tea: where did it come from, why do we drink it, and who spilled it first. Anne Hinged and Vivien Rose work together to bring you insightful TED-style talks that will inspire you to start thinking about the history and botany of tea, as well as the linguistic origins of “tea.” This three segment show will feature bold performances, exciting lectures, and ample opportunities for audience talk back. Come horny for knowledge and thirsty for fun, and leave with a piping hot cup “What’s the Tea.”

LIVE IN NYC AT THE PARKSIDE LOUNGE

$15 Advance $20 Door

doors 7:00pm

7:30pm SLAMDINISTAS have a classic rock ‘n’ roll sound as powerful as their name. The five members of this Los Angeles band have spent their lives writing and performing, and those musical chops are blazingly apparent in their contemporary take on New York glitter trash, Detroit Street punk, and British Invasion rave-ups.

8:30pm PALMYRA DELRAN and the DOPPEL GANG "Palmyra is the Lucille Ball of rock & roll" - Steven Van Zandt

9:30pm THE CYNZ are a full-throttle rock band formed around the songwriting talents of poet CYNDI DAWSON (voc) and HENRY SEIZ (gtr/voc). The band has been called "the closest thing to the 1970's CBGB's you will get from a band that formed in 2011." Their songs are hard-rocking tales of heartbreak, survival, determination, redemption, and sometimes unbridled joy at break-neck speed!!!

Tales from the $trip

Peekaboo Pointe Presents

TUESDAY APRIL 14th

7:30pm - late

Reading & Pop-up Strip Club

Take TALES to the STRIP!

Tales from the Strip live is expanding its archive!

The last weekend of May we will travel to Las Vegas for the Burlesque Hall of Fame to collect stories from multiple generations of strippers who will all be converging in one place for the annual Striptease Reunion! Because of the vast number of performers at the Plaza hotel that weekend, stories will be flying! And Tales from the $trip plans to listen to and record all of them! Tales from the $trip will be setting up a Story Booth, and inviting attendees to tell their favorite stories. These stories are a vital part of our history. Stories from the 1960s up to today will be circulating around the Plaza all weekend. We have an opportunity to collect as many of them as possible. By recording as many of these stories, Tales will add them to the archive already started in the live show. This digital archive will live on the YouTube Channel : Listen to $luts. This channel will serve as a place where these stories can come alive, and be preserved as part of our oral history. As an industry with a long history of staying hidden, where our work often lives in our collective secret lives, our stories can serve as a powerful (and entertaining) tool for destigmatizing what we choose to do for a living while preserving our rich history. This is a history not only of our industry, but also of queer history, feminist history and immigration history. We can’t afford to lose our stories as the time passes. Our stories have power. We are raising money to take our Tales from the $trip team to Vegas. We need funds for flights, room and board for THREE of the Tales Crew members. Let’s grow this spicy archive! Please join us in helping
