Whether you're fine-tuning for the next open mic, shaping a personal project, or just need a spark to get started, bring your rough drafts, half-baked ideas, or even a blank page.

Together, we'll learn how to give (and take) constructive critique, explore the art of collaborative storytelling, and build stronger creative bonds in our community. No pressure, just play.

Doors open at 8:00. We'll ease in with casual mingling before diving into the workshopping magic. $12 entry helps sustain our space, but no one is turned away for lack of funds. Come connect, create, and sharpen your storytelling chops with us!

I'M GOING TO MARRY YOUR DAD is a performance artist best known for their work in New York's experimental DIY music scene. Monthly, they can be seen as their stern but silent persona, JUDITH in A Night Inside with Claywoman and Christeene at the Parkside Lounge. I'm Going To Marry Your Dad is a founding member of the experimental performance collective I Don’t Wanna See That and has presented their work at The Brick, Jack Arts, No Nation Arts Lab in Chicago as well as headlining various queer nightlife events, including Blow Pony in Portland, OR. They have released multiple singles such as the gay horse girl anthem Hopscotch Butterscotch and the free market dance hit Corporate Creative. Their third single, The Friendship Song, was released in March 2024 through the record label House of Feelings. Early last year the artist adopted five stepchildren after marrying their father and pushing him down a flight of stairs. As an advocate for child labor, they put them to work as a musical family band to create the upcoming EP, I’M THE VICTIM, a tribute to all of the bad things - that can be good sometimes.

Brown Angel is a queer/trans Chicanx DJ/Producer based in Oakland and San Francisco. With roots in Wilmas and Long Beach CA, they were immersed in music and culture at a young age, and started drumming at the age of 4. Their background has inspired and shaped them into one of the most respected DJs in the Bay Area’s underground music community. They have played all around the country, opening up for icons like Honey Dijon. Brown Angel’s music ranges widely from their oldies upbringing to current electronic tracks. Their debut EP release "Pure Brown Energy" is out now on Dark Entries Records.
